As the holidays draw near, we hope you and your family are blessed and find time to give thanks for God's mercy and goodness!

I know, however, that many of you are struggling with disappointments, death, family situations, conflicts and other concerns that make the holidays difficult. Just know that God is very near to you in your time of trouble. Two scriptures that I have been studying are:

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me: my glory and the lifter up of mine head.

Luke 21:28 And when these things come to pass then look up, and lift up your heads for your redemption draweth nigh.

The scripture from Psalms states that God is our shield. When problems come our way, we are promised that God is protecting us even in the middle of the crisis! There are times that we feel as though we cannot lift our own head. We are weak, afraid, concerned, distraught and burdened. It is during those times that God lifts our head....He promised us He would!

When circumstances beyond our control take our life by storm, we are instructed to look up for our redemption is very near! God knows exactly where you are today and will be your strength and your comfort if you will allow Him to be that in your life!
