Just as the album title says, the Crist family starts this project off on the right foot with a true classic, "I Believe He’s Coming Back." The family blended harmonies are wonderful, and though the Crist Family is singing, it reminds me of the Happy Goodmans. "Keep on the Firing Line" is next, reminding me of so many church services as a child where we sang that hymn. They won my vote with this selection, and the group’s vocal timing and dynamics are impressive. A female vocal on "The Anchor Holds" is a nice change and slows things down a bit.

Songs like "I Must Tell Jesus," "I will Glory in the Cross," and "Joy’s Gonna Come In the Morning" keep this project rolling right along. There is great consistency in the family’s sound and quality. Though no particular vocal stood out to me as phenomenal talent, not one stood out to me as weak either. They have a very solid sound. Presenting some of SG’s most beloved songs in a way that’s reminiscent, yet not carbon copied, you find yourself wanting to sing along from beginning to end.

With its mandolin and accordion touches "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" easily was one of my favorites. The instrumentation was simply beautiful. "Take My Hand Precious Lord," "Canaan land is Just in Sight," and "Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus" finish off the record in good form. The project had great continuity and flow. There was not a moment when I wanted to skip ahead. The blend of male and female, young and well…slightly more mature voices gave the Crist family a very well rounded sound.

I enjoyed this album most of all for its musical selections. With the trend of "Hymns and Classics" projects in recent years, I expected to see the same predictable list of songs on this recording. However I was pleasantly surprised. The Crist family has been singing for many years now. The group has grown to include brothers, sisters, nieces, and even a few friends, making it a beautiful family ministry. Recently going full time has been quite the adventure, and I think it’s paying off.

Is it me or does the Crist Family sound A LOT like the original Rex Nelon Singers/Nelons?! They were one of my all-time favorites and it's great to hear a new group bring back that great sound!

I have been receiving excellent listener ratings from our internet station that is featuring the Crist Family. May God continue to richly bless their ministry.
