Going back and digging through some of their very favorite songs of all time, the guys in Paid in Full narrowed it down to these 10 familiar tunes which are all done with class, which is a characteristic that adequately defines Paid in Full and their music.  It is quite obvious that these songs are special to them.  I like what the liner notes said, “If lives had soundtracks like movies do, this album would be our life soundtrack.” Done in a “rustic down home” flavor, the guys sing these songs with solid, yet simple arrangements and sung from the heart.

Rendering an acapella performance on the hymn ”AMAZING GRACE“, the guys effortlessly move into an up tempo version of another traditional hymn, ”DOWN AT THE CROSS“ (aka-"Glory to His Name").

I was elated to see one of my all time favorite songs included called “GREEN PASTURES”, and the guys do a great job on it, as well as the classic Squire Parsons’ song, ”SWEET BEULAH LAND.”

Other beloved hymns include ”IN THE SWEET BY AND BY“, ”IN THE GARDEN“, ”WE’RE MARCHING TO ZION“ (featuring a cool acoustical track) and ”I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY“.

The guys included one of my all time favorite Goodman songs entitled, ”THAT SOUNDS LIKE HOME TO ME.” With the recent death of Vestal Goodman, I find the song so very reflective of all she sang about.  Closing out the recording is a very soothing rendition of the classic ”I’LL MEET YOU IN THE MORNING.”

With so many who have the “blood and guts” mentality for Southern Gospel singing, it is nice to hear a soothing recording of great songs featuring the classy voices of Paid in Full.  If you want something to listen to that is easy on the ears and gives you a warm feeling, then you need to have this recording; it’s good therapy!
