SoulReal - A SoulReal Christmas
Though they told me when they gave me this CD that it was intended for a “table Project”, I thought that it was worthy of bringing to Southern Gospel fans attention. With that in mind, you may hear better projects, but this is still a very good one. “Go Tell It On The Mountain” Starts off the CD and is full of energy and set the mood for the rest of the CD. As they move on, the next song is a Medley of Carols including “Joy, Joy, Joy” and “Joy to The World”. “Let’s Make The Baby King” adds some spice to this recording. I think they just cut loose and had some fun recording this cut. It’s one of my favorites on the CD. “It Wasn’t His Child” gives us a very different look at the Christmas story. This song is a look at the Christmas story form Joseph’s eyes. “Sweet Little Jesus Boy”, “Away In A Manger Medley”, “Oh Beautiful Star Of Bethlehem”, and “The Coventry Carol” are all traditional Christmas Carols performed with lot’s of Christmas feeling. Two songs penned by Rebecca Peck are included on this CD. “Merry, Merry Christmas” is performed in a neat “pop” style. You can almost see yourself “rocking” around the Christmas tree as this song plays. “Your Presence For Christmas” is a very worshipful song that would be really nice to just close your eyes and listen to on Christmas morning. “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”, may have a nursery title, but the message is very in tune with the season. I have been a fan of Rhonda Jo's for a long time!
I remember hearing her sing in Nashville during Fanfare week, she was awesome...nobody sings Amazing Grace like her! I have all of their cd's, but A SoulReal Christmas is special, very fun and festive! Great website too...Soulreal.com!!!

While I don't have their Christmas project and can't comment on it, I do have their "Tell The World" project and it is a "hit" with my wife and I. For those of you who aren't familiar with them or haven't given them a listen.....take the time and give them a try. You won't regret it! I'll probably get in "trouble" with my lovely bride for this, but I'll make this promise (and I'm not associated with the girls in any way)...if you get "Tell The World" and don't like it, I'll buy your copy!!....That's how highly I think of this project!

I just wanted to say I visited Soul Real's website, and it really is very professional. I also wanted to say how pleased I am to see Musicians with the kind of credentials that the you have choosing this field to share your talents. I hope up and coming singers take note of the need for Music Education in this industry.
Keep up the great work. Jeremy Raines a.k.a Karl Malone Fan
