Your Group had a big year in 2004 both professionally and personally. Fill everyone in on what has happened with the group!
God has blessed this ministry in such an awesome way. It seems that each year greater things keep happening for HisSong. We have seen hundreds of people give their heart and life to Jesus and many lives changed. God ordained the 3 of us (Dennis, Gary & Adam) to minister as a team and, it is not a one-sided ministry. We all have the same focus - which is first and foremost to see the lost come to know Jesus, but also to see those who have been struggling from depression and sickness to be lifted up and be encouraged.
We released our 3rd project titled "Three" in 2004 with some of the greatest material. Our current release from the project is the last single from the project "Three" called "Closing Time". This is truly a song for the day that we live. We look around and see all the signs pointing to the day that Jesus Christ comes and takes us home to be him. Kyla Rowland was truly anointed by God when she wrote this song. “Closing Time” is being played at Solid Gospel and many other southern gospel radio stations across the country and doing GREAT. Radio stations have embraced the song, and we appreciate them all so much. Radio DJ's are a great part in what we do, and words can not describe how much we appreciate all of them. If you have a southern gospel radio station in your area please support them and let them know how much you appreciate what they are doing. They play the greatest music in the world - "Southern Gospel Music"
We are currently in the recording studio working on a brand-new project with Dove award winning producer Wayne Haun. This new project is definitely going to have something on it for everyone. We have used some of the greatest musicians in the business including a live orchestra on many songs which we feel is incredible. The project is scheduled to be released around September or October. This new project will truly speak hope to those who are hurting. It will speak comfort to those who have been grieving from the loss of a loved one – it will bring you into the realm of worship. Songs on the project will speak to those who are lost. If a song ministers to us then we know the song is going to minister to the people, and that's what it's all about.
What's next up to bat for your group? In other words, what do you see in the immediate future for your ministry?
We see much growth, and we see HisSong going to places we have never been and reaching the young, middle age and the older. We don't want to be focused to just one age group, but we want to minister to all ages and races.
Tell us about your worst and best concert experiences lately. Something the fan will love to know about you!
Hmmm let's see, the worst I guess would be when we sang at a church in Illinois and before the Sunday morning service the Pastor told us they do not give altar calls. This is something we always do, the three of us talked about it and at the end of the service God worked it out where people came to the altar.
We have so many great concerts in churches and auditoriums but we have always had a tremendous time working with Pastor/Promoter Bill Bailey. This has opened up so many doors for us.
What are the long term plans for your group. What's the future hold for your group?
As we have said before, we see nothing but growth for the future, and we are looking forward to working venues we have worked before as well as many new ones.
