Hold On
![]() The Authorized Biography Of The Greenes This is a great book about a beloved Southern Gospel family. Mike Collins has authored a very deep yet compassionate book about the Greenes. He starts at the beginning with the life and dreams of Dad, Everett Greene. You will see how the family develops and grows into Everett’s dream. You will see how that dream is passed on to his children. Tim, Kim, and Tony. Mike leads you through their triumphs and disappointments. You will go with them as they find their future mates and the complications of combining two musical families. You will go through all of the personnel changes and the tough decisions in making those choices. Also in this book you will live through the births of their children as well as the battle that Tim has been facing healthwise. You will certainly have a better understanding of where this family has been, where they are and where they are going. You will even get some funny funeral parlor stories from Tony, and some of the embarrassing moments that TaRanda must face being the wife of Tony Greene. All in all you will laugh and cry as you enjoy reading this book about a well loved family in Southern Gospel Music. If you still have special present that you need to buy for that Southern Gospel Music fan, this one will be perfect. Reader Comments
Gosh! I really enjoyed this book. This Gospel Music family - Tim, Tony, TaRanda, and Kim - has faced challenging difficulties and enjoyed wonderful blessings through their career in Southern Gospel music. Kim "Greene" Hopper now tours with The Hoppers! But she and her brothers tell what it was like to tour as youngsters.
The legendary Dottie Rambo said it best in the book, when she said, "The Greenes are some of the sweetest people in Gospel music. It is rare that you find a group that isn't afraid to sing songs with powerful lyrics. I thank God for them and am honored that they have chosen to use many of my songs on their recordings. Most of all I am thankful for their integrity. A good name is above the price of rubies and the Greenes have held strongly to that!"

Cool book. Finally Southern Gospel Artists are being recognized on a national level. Besides Bill Gaither's Homecoming Friends' book, this is the first book I've seen in my local bookstore pertaining to a traditional Southern Gospel Group. BRAVO!
I hope this is the first of many such biographies.

I think this book would be pertinent to anyone who is going through difficulties and physical or spiritual challenges. This family, the Greenes, have had their share of heartache and they share their innermost feelings in the pages of "Hold On."
I have always liked the Greenes. Now I love them even more, knowing their lives a little better. By the way, Tony Greene is a bonafide NUT! Some moments in the book are hilarious. Happy reading.

As co-founder of Woodland Gospel Publishing and publisher of the work, "Hold On," I am so delighted to hear the kind words from Southern Gospel News readers. Mr. Collins, author of the work, is a wonderful writer and associate. Most importantly, the Greenes are an inspiring family with a powerful testimony to share. The Greenes live what they sing about!
I would like to personally thank Mr. Unthank for the book review and for such encouraging words. Blessings, Tim Fortune CFO, Member Woodland Gospel Publishing
