Jonathan White is an amazing talent. I stand in awe at the voice that comes out of this man. Personally, I would put him up against any tenor in gospel music, even David Phelps. Jonathan White is just simply phenomenal. He has a certain quality about his voice that makes you want to listen to what he has to say through his music. Recorded in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, this is Jonathan White…live!

The medium tempo “I WILL BLESS THE LORD” starts the recording and leads into the slower, more worshipful, “GOD IS MY REFUGE AND STRENGTH”, which is an awesome song.

The easy flowing “CONVERSATION PEACE” is next before Jonathan introduces his son, Austin and they perform the Hank Williams classic, “HOUSE OF GOLD”. This is truly a highlight of the recording and is actually quite entertaining. To say Austin “Stole the Show” would be a gross understatement!

Fusing 3 much loved classic songs, “Love Grew Where the Blood Fell”, “One Holy Lamb” and “Behold the Lamb”; Jonathan renders a moving performance on “THE LAMB MEDLEY”.

After rendering the Dallas Holm classic, “HEY, I'M A BELIEVER NOW”, Jonathan sings the soothing, “THE FOUNTAIN” before he shares his testimony of raising a daughter with Down syndrome and sings the emotionally tinged, “SOMETIMES MIRACLES HIDE”.

Using Jeremiah 29:11 as a backdrop, Jonathan sings “GOD HAS GOT A PLAN FOR ME” before turning in an awesome performance of his hit song, “THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST”. It is here that the concert comes to a close and Jonathan does a few studio cuts with “ALWAYS FOR YOU”, “WE DREAM” and a studio version of “THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST”.

For the most part, this isn't the most enthusiastic crowd I've ever heard on a live recording, but as unenthused as they seem, Jonathan sounds as if he is singing before thousands; great job on his part. My only real complaint is the quality of a couple of the tracks. The quality of the tracks range from outstanding to, for lack of a better word, cheesy. There is no standard quality of the tracks used for this live recording for they philander around throughout the recording. But other than that, I have nothing but praise about Jonathan as a vocalist, performer and communicator. He has it all and I can't help but wonder why the rest of the Southern Gospel Music industry hasn't recognized this enormous talent.

Personal Favs: GOD IS MY REFUGE AND STRENGTH; THE LAMB MEDLEY; THE FOUNTAIN; SOMETIMES MIRACLES HIDE; THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST; WE DREAM

This is one awesome recording. Jonathan has one of the best tenor voices I've ever heard. His music will stir your heart. Get the DVD, it will bless you. Great review James.
