Hundreds of radio DJs who are subscribers to the popular "Pamela Furr's Southern Gospel Show Prep" will see a few changes in the service this week. Furr has decided to transfer control of the DJ information service to longtime friend Chuck Peters. Peters and Furr worked side by side at several radio stations since the mid 80s. Peters' radio experience includes stints in management, sales, programming and news. He presently operates an Internet SG station.. http://www.sglive365.com RADIO.
The "show prep" is a daily email that DJs use to complement their on air shows. The "prep" contains things like celebrity birthdays, historical events that occurred on a particular date, as well as interesting news stories, some funny material, even contest ideas and advertising sales promotions. The service that's delivered to southern gospel radio stations will include a section with SG happenings, trivia, artists info..like birthdays, weddings, new babies, group changes, who's in the studio, etc. Some issues of the "show prep" will feature an mp3 download of a classic SG song.
Chuck Peters says: "I am only changing a few things about the show prep.. I want to keep up the great work that Pamela has started." One of the changes will be the name. It's shortened a bit. From "Pamela Furr's Southern Gospel Show Prep".. to just SG SHOW PREP. The website home for SG Show Prep will now be http://www.sglive365.com/showprep
Peters went on to say that he's pretty sure this is the only radio show prep service available to SG stations. He hopes more DJs will take advantage of the free service. For more information send an email to:
