Hendersonville, TN – Daywind Music Group is pleased to announce the signing of John Darin Rowsey to its roster of exclusive songwriters. More than 150 of John’s songs have been recorded. His most notable chart-topping songs include the BMI Award winning Joy’s Gonna Come by The Kingsmen (formerly The Carolina Boys), The Truth Is and I Wanna Know How It Feels, both recorded by Karen Peck and New River during John’s tenure with that ministry, and Singin’ With The Saints by The Gaither Vocal Band which became the title song to a popular Homecoming Video and sold enough units to achieve "platinum" status.
Rick Shelton, Creative Director for Daywind Music Publishing, issued this statement, “John Rowsey is an exciting and strategic addition to Daywind’s exclusive group of writers. He is not only one of my favorite composers, he is one of my favorite people.” Upon signing the agreement John had this to say, “I first met Dottie Leonard Miller over the phone 18 years ago when she called on the music store I worked for at the time. It’s amazing to me how things come full circle. Being involved with Daywind is a very exciting new venture for me and I anticipate a wonderful partnership.”
John, his wife, Shirley, and his son Michael Shade reside in northeastern Kentucky. John also performs a limited touring schedule, produces recordings for other artists and actively works with the music department of his home church, Christ Temple in Huntington, West Virginia.
