Deon’s Radio Pics - 11-1-04
Well it’s been a long while since my Radio Pics appeared, but I’ve had several radio DJs ask me to start them again, so here goes.
Jody Brown Indian Family – “Jump Out Of The Boat”
This cut is on the Crossroads Re-releases, but since I’m staring over this month, I’m taking the liberty to go back and pick up this re-release, besides it’s only a month prior’s Comp release. This song has a really neat beat and the track has a unique sound to it. There is a real challenge to your faith when you listen to this song, and I think your listeners will get into this song. Besides all that, the chorus is very catchy and will have people singing along with it rather quickly. - Crossroads Airplay Sampler – October 2004 – cut # 18
Mercy’s Mark – “I’m On The Battlefield”
The group may be a new name, but with personnel like Garry Jones and Anthony Facello being household names, I can’t pick this group for my “sleeper”. Garry arranged this version of the old classic and it is sure to be a hit with your audience. This cut cannot help but be a chart climber, so give it a listen and then give it a play. You’ll be hearing more from this great group, but his first release is well worth playing. - Daywind Radio Disc – Volume # 56 – cut # 3
Big Mo – “Above See Level”
Though Big Mo, AKA Milton Ostrander, has been known as a great songwriter for many years, his singing has been overlooked and now is the time for you to treat you listeners to my “sleeper of the week” Big Mo also penned this number and it has all the traits necessary to be a great radio song. This cut comes off a “live” recording, so the excitement will come right on through your radio air waves and it’s sure to thrill you listeners. This one is a real “sleeper” just laying there waiting to excite everyone who hears it. - United Independent Artists – Volume # 3013 – cut # 4
Hope’s Call – “One Day I Will”
Here’s a huge ballad that will mesmerize you audience. You are sure to get requests for this song. The message of the song is so full of hope that it will bless and inspire everyone listening. The track is big and adds a lot of power to the song, but the voices seem to jump out and touch you. For those days when you’ve had a lot of calls telling you how bad the day is going for everyone, this is the song to play, for it is sure to lift their spirits. - Heritage Gold Volume # 42 – cut # 3
