Mike Franklin has announced his retirement from The Melody Boys Quartet after eighteen years of singing the first tenor for TMBQ. His retirement will be effective at the end of 2004.
Gerald Williams remarks, "Mike will be greatly missed. He is one of the most naturally gifted tenor voices in our business today, and his departure will leave a great void in the hearts of our listening audience and especially with those of us who have been so closely associated with him through the years. Each of us in The Melody Boys Quartet wish for him much happiness as he is able to spend time with his wife Tina who has been his number one fan all these years........ Watch for them on that Honda Gold Wing!!"
The next chapter in the life of TMBQ will involve finding the right man to fill the position of tenor singer. If you think you are that person you may apply through email at or by phone at either 501-455-3789 or 501-247-6846.
