LOUISVILLE, KY—Kyla Rowland was named Master Composer for 2004 during the annual Phil Cross Songwriters’ Showcase at the National Quartet Convention.

The award recognizes a songwriter who has contributed major compositions to the Southern Gospel genre of music.

Kyla is best known for her classics “One Scarred Hand” and “There Rose A Lamb” and new standards “I Rest My Case At The Cross”, “Safe Thus Far”, “God Handled It All” and “I Can, I Have, I Will”.
