Dixie Melody Boys Name Dan Keeton as New Tenor

KINSTON, NC - Ashland, KY, native Dan Keeton has been named as the new tenor for the Dixie Melody Boys, according to the quartet's owner, Ed O'Neal. That announcement came today as Keeton was hired to replace long-time tenor Harold Reed, who first joined the Dixie Melody Boys 10 years ago in 1994.

"Harold has done an exceptional job for the Dixie Melody Boys throughout the past decade, and we wish him all the best with his future endeavors," O'Neal stated.

O'Neal is very excited about the addition of Keeton, who has enjoyed a successful musical ministry with his wife, Nancy, throughout the past eight years. The couple will be moving soon from their home in Kentucky to the Eastern North Carolina town of Kinston, where the Dixie Melody Boys are based. "Dan is a fantastic singer," O'Neal said, "and he comes very highly recommended. We think he's going to fit in very well with us, and we're excited about the future of the Dixie Melody Boys."

The Dixie Melody Boys' brand new radio single, "God's Still God," has just been shipped to radio stations nationwide, and is the second single from the quartet's Seraphim Music Group recording, "A Seat in The Heavenly Choir."

Dan is not only a great singer as I saw when he sang with Gold City at the Crabb Fest, but he is a great, down-to earth type of guy that you can enjoy talking to. Nobody deserves this position more than Mr. Dan Keeton himself! Congratulations Dan!

I am glad to see Dan Keeton getting the exposure he deserves. He was at our church with the Blackwoods some years ago and we were all very impressed with him. God bless .
And for Harold Reed to move to the Florida Boys offers both men to the Southern Gospel Music Fans on a level they deserve. Good things are happening!

Hi I am Dan Keeton's wife(Nancy)and biggest fan. We are so excited about the endless possiblities that is before us. I am so proud of Dan, he has worked so hard to be a great tenor and to finally get a position with the legendary Dixie Melody Boys. I will miss him when he travels however I have always known he was born for this position the very first time he sang for me. I pray that God blesses him with souls on the road. I Love you honey!!!

Congratulations Dan and Nancy, God bless you both, We will definitely miss "The Keetons Ministry" but know that God is blessing you with this new position with the Dixie Melody Boys. Remember buddy you are always in our prayers.
