The Whisnants Announce Personnel Changes

After 5 1/2 years of faithful service, the Whisnants announce the departure of Bob & Shannon Clark. This husband and wife team have traveled with The Whisnants taking care of their children, driving the bus, and for the past 3 1/2 years Shannon has played keyboard for the group. If you have heard the Whisnants in concert, you've probably seen Bob Clark perform his own brand of Christian Comedy as a great addition to their program. The time has come when Bob & Shannon have decided to start a family. They will leave the road by the end of July. Bob will remain the News Director and Sales Manager at WCIS Radio in Morganton, N.C. and will pursue his comedy on weekends. He can be contacted at 828-438-8643. We hate to lose Bob & Shannon, but honor their desire to have a family of their own. We love them and wish them all of God's blessings.

But on a happy note, I am proud to announce that our new pianist will be Mr. Eric Ollis, formerly of The Dixie Melody Boys. It is an honor to have such a seasoned veteran of the industry as part of our team. When Eric decided to pursue the facilities in Morganton for his autistic son Michael, it seemed like a natural fit for him to be a part of a ministry based in Morganton, N.C.. "Eric and I have known each other since we were kids. He is originally from Morganton, so it is nice that he is coming back home." We are all excited about what is going on and I know God has put it together. Eric will begin traveling with the Whisnants as soon as his commitments with the Dixie Melody Boys are completed. Be sure to come out and be with us and make Eric welcome when we are in your area.

As a friend and fan of the Whisnants, I must say that I will miss Bob and Shannon a lot, but am looking forward to what God has in store for the future of this wonderful group of people!
