The Singing News subscribers have recently nominated New Ground, as one of its Top Five Finalists for the Horizon Group of the Year Award. From the list of the five nominees, one group will be presented with the prestigious award in September during the National Quartet Convention.

New Ground, from Scottsboro, AL, is noted for their tight three part harmonies and their charting singles that include "In Just A Little While", "Oh, What A Day", "God's Promises Will Stand", "Hands Scarred By The Nails" and their current release, "When He Comes For Me" stands at #30 on the Singing News Chart for July 2004.

Group spokesperson Robbie Maxwell stated, "We are humbled and honored to receive this accolade and look forward to seeing all our friends at the festivities in Louisville."
