In a quest to help broaden the genre of Southern Gospel Music and to present its rich heritage, the Southern Gospel Music Guild is pleased to offer this daily informational program, known as the "Southern Gospel Music's Day-Book", that helps in our salute to September as being Southern Gospel Music Month. This program is packed with a combination of music and world history. It is structured in daily vignettes that are sellable in your local market. Each day has a recognizable theme and is closed with a history making Southern Gospel song. For instance, you'll hear trivia about former monumental songs that helped shape Southern Gospel Music, be enlightened, as well as informed by Southern Gospel industry leaders and even hear how Southern Gospel Music got its start. Each vignette can be featured several times each day during the month of September.
We would like to thank you in advance for your participation in our annual program and for your contribution to the betterment of Southern Gospel Music.
So who could sponsor "The Day Book" Program?…
… Any advertiser who wants to increase their traffic flow. This tightly produced program, will certainly stand out during your regular programming, and in doing so will bring greater awareness to its sponsors. What a great way for any client to tie in their customer base to this informative feature. The sponsors can get an open-and-close mention to each vignette, and a :30 or :60 second spot. Since this will be a highly listened to program, be sure to sell it for a premium. Don't forget this is prime radio real estate.
Does this Program need to be edited prior to airing?
No! The "Day Book" is designed so that each on-air person can play the feature directly from the CD. Since each day has its separate number ID, and easy-to- follow track sheet, it's as easy as playing your favorite song.
Can my station co-op with print media in my market?
Yes! This is a great way to give your sponsors the best of both worlds when it comes to advertising. By working a trade, you can position your stations call letters and the "Day Book" sponsors to the masses. Be creative when designing your printed portion of this package. Be sure to remember when promoting this program, the times it will air, as this will draw listeners and give your sponsors peak listener draw. Should you capitalize on this co-op marketing you may visit www.sgmg.organd download a Southern Gospel Music Logo to be used in print.
And of course feel free to share your success stories with us at the Southern Gospel Music Guild.
This can be done thru the web site or via email at dwelad@directvinternet.com.
