Teen Challenge of Memphis and the Blackwood Family are pleased to announce that we hold The James Blackwood Sing on Friday night, September 13 in Memphis, TN.

This year's sing is subtitled "A Quartet Spectacular" and will feature reunions of the Blackwood Brothers Quartet, The Junior Blackwood Brothers Quartet, and the James Blackwood Quartet. In addition, the Blackwood Gospel Quartet (Knoxville, TN) and The Bellevue Baptist Quartet will be on the program.

This will be a vintage gospel quartet sing. The preshow will start at 6:30pm with the New Evangels & The Inmans...and then from 7:00pm-10:30pm we will go back into time to hear the great quartet singing that made the Blackwoods known world wide. In addition, there will be a 3 grand pianorama with Blackwood piano greats and then at 10:30, the evening will conclude with a patriotic extravaganza commemorating the 1 year anniversary of 9-11.

The program will also feature greats like Bill Shaw, Jackie Marshall, Larry Ford, Dean & Mary Brown, Hilton Griwold, Phil Enloe, Jimmy Blackwood, Billy Blackwood, Jamie Parker and so many many others.

It will be held at the First Assembly Auditorium - 8650 Walnut Grove in Memphis, TN (Cordova). Tickets are $10 and can be acquired by calling Teen Challenge at 901-272-2308.

For quartet lovers and Blackwood fans, this will be an event like they haven't seen in a long time. It will be an evening of nostagia, fun and great quartet singing...and all proceeds will go to promote the work of Teen Challenge as it reaches youth for Christ. What a fitting tribute to the legend and ministry of James Blackwood!
