Cullman - This year marks the 25th year that J&R Ministries has been promoting Southern Gospel music in north Alabama. J&R Ministries is the work of Jeanette & Richard Todd of Dodge City, AL.
J&R Ministries' first event of 2003 was a concert on January 16th at the Cullman Civic Center in Cullman, AL featuring Gold City and the Premiers. Unfortunately, inclement weather prohibited Gold City from making the date, but the Premiers were present to do the concert along with local artists Oasis and Enell Baker. Despite the threatening weather, a number of fans showed up for a wonderful evening of gospel music.
Because of their long-standing relationship with the Todds, Gold City and the Premiers presented the Todds with a commemorative plaque in recognition of their twenty-five years of service to the Southern Gospel fans of north Alabama. Pictured below are Russell Brothers (on behalf of Gold City) and Marlon Pendergrass of the Premiers presenting the plaque to Richard and Jeanette Todd.
Due to the inclement weather of January 16th, a make-up concert is set for January 30th to feature Gold City and Uplifted. The concert will again be held at the Cullman Civic Center in Cullman, AL. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact J&R Ministries at 256-739-4560.
