Jerry Venable Passes Away

Jerry Venable died suddenly at his home in Sheridan, Arkansas, Sept. 20. Jerry sang with the Melody Boys Quartet as well as forming his own group, The Venable Quartet. He also managed and sang with the Plainsmen. He was instrumental in helping start the early career of Sue Dodge.

At the time of his death he was hosting his own radio show Gospel Down South in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
