Meet Stacy Bragg
![]() This month, we'd like for you to meet one of the finest bass singers in all of gospel music. Stacy Bragg is no stranger to gospel music. In the early 90's when Bill Gaither helped reform the Statesmen, Stacy was one of the best of the best selected to sing with the legendary quartet. He not only has the ability to drop to the bottom of the keyboard and literally shake the building with his rich bass vocal, he also can step out and deliver an impressive solo performance. Elaine, that was a very nice comment you left about Stacy but I have to disagree with you on one area. Stacy is a much better bass singer than Ray Reese. He has a much lower register. Ray can't sing as deep with clarity as Stacy can. I know him personally because I travelled on a bus with Stacy, Mike and the guys for about two years. He is one of the funniest guys I know. He is also one of the finest Christian men in the gospel music business today. He has a wonderful wife and two beautiful little girls. I count him as one of my best friends and I really miss the travelling days with Stacy and the LeFevre Quartet.
