Hendersonville, TN (May 9, 2008) – Daywind Music Publishing is pleased to announce that award winning songwriter, Marcia Henry, has signed an exclusive songwriting agreement with Daywind Publishing, making her an incredible addition to an already outstanding roster of songwriters.

Some of Henry’s credits include the recent #1 song from Karen Peck and New River, “Last Night.” Other top songs include the Perrys’ new single, “The Potter Knows The Clay,” and classics, such as, ”Roses Will Bloom Again” and “Thread of Hope,” to name just a few.

Creative Director for Daywind Music Publishing, Rick Shelton, expressed his excitement with the addition. “I am delighted to welcome Marcia Henry into the Daywind family. Her writing consistently continues to impact Southern Gospel Music and the lives of those who are fortunate enough to experience her songs. Marcia’s melodies and lyrics spring from a deep well of Living Water that refreshes and encourages the listener who thirsts for hope. We are blessed to support this talented songwriter.”

Marcia had this to say about joining the Daywind Publishing family. "I am looking forward to this association with Daywind Publishing. I hope to see more of my songs finding their way to the right artists and I believe Rick Shelton is passionate about that very thing.

Daywind Records President, Ed Leonard, states, “Marcia Henry is an anointed songwriter. I am very excited that she chose Daywind to assist in her songwriting ministry. We look forward to a long relationship with her."

sallyh's avatar I love Marcia Henry's music! In fact I used to love her singing group. 10 years or so ago I got to hear them at NQC at a chatter's luncheon. Now forgive me, my recall is probably not 100% - I believe the group was Marcia Henry and Latter Rain. (at least it's something along those lines!) Anyhow, we heard her at the luncheon and proceeded to purchase ever cassette that they had for sale. Great music, great sound!

You are right! Marcia Henry & Latter Rain. My daddy was a member for several years as their guitar player. Marcia is a wonderful person and incredibly talented!
