Multi-award winning quartet, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound has become the first Southern Gospel recording artists to reach the Number One position on the MySpace Christian Music Chart. Additionally, the talented group has risen to the #21 position on the MySpace Top Artists List, surpassing such popular secular recording artists as Paul McCartney, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Kid Rock. According to radio promoter, Rick Hendrix, the group’s success on the popular social networking website speaks volumes about the popularity and broad appeal of Signature Sound. “The recent surge has been amazing,” Hendrix stated. “It’s great to see and hear from teens and adults from all walks of life that are being introduced to Chrsitian music by Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. I attribute a lot of the success to the group’s unique style, great material and their aggressive and loyal fan base that has been growing on the internet.” Hendrix further stated, “Television and radio exposure has contributed greatly to their success, but the entire globe is watching and listening via MySpace, and the response internationally to Signature Sound has been out of the norm for the Southern Gospel world.” According to Wikipedia.org, MySpace.com attracts more than 230,000 new users each day, offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos for teenagers and adults internationally.
