Providence Quartet - Everything

With a sound somewhat similar to that of the old Kingsmen from the 70s and 80s (though a bit more laid back), fans of male quartets will really enjoy these guys. I became a fan of these guys the first time I heard them and of all the regional groups I've been privileged to hear, the Providence Quartet is one of the best there is, and I hope to see them continuing to make great strides within the industry.

The recording starts off with the energetic, "WOULD IT BE ALRIGHT WITH YOU" before shifting gears a bit for the laid back, classic quartet feel of "EVERYTHING YOU'LL NEED". This song was penned by Squire Parsons and recorded by Gold City a few years back and the guys do a good job with their rendition of the song.

Greg Day is one of my favorite songwriters and they included one of my all-time favorite Greg Day penned tunes, "BEHOLD, I COME QUICKLY", and the guys do a tremendous job with their rendition of this tune. They also churn out a few other Day penned tunes such as "IT IS GOOD" (previously recorded by the Pfeifers), "WAKE UP CALL" as well as the opening song, "WOULD IT BE ALRIGHT WITH YOU".

The current single from this recording is the striking story song, "I'M THE ONE". I love the storyline as the song reminds us why and who Christ came to die.

We are treated with three classic tunes in a row as the guys render their own renditions of "THE LIGHTHOUSE", "HALLELUJAH MEETING" and "I BOWED ON MY KNEES AND CRIED HOLY" (which sounded a bit strained).
The Providence Quartet has a good, solid sound and they put out some excellent music. I wouldn't say that this particular recording is my favorite out of their 3 recorded works, but this is very good. There aren't many groups I anxiously await their newest release, but the Providence Quartet is one of them, and I am anxiously awaiting what these guys do next.

Providence Quartet is absolutely one of my favorite Southern Gospel Quartets!

You can tell that each and every one of these men love the Lord and it is evident each and every time you see and hear them. They are very talented but most importantly an anointed group.

I know that God has huge plans for Providence Quartet in the future and I can't wait to see what He has in store for them.
