--National Quartet Convention and Galt House Named As Official Sponsors--

Canaan Records announced today the details of a contest that will celebrate their bi-weekly Podcasts and new project releases on August 12th. Canaan Records in conjunction with the National Quartet Convention and the Galt House Hotel will award a grand prize package including Friday and Saturday afternoon showcase and evening concert tickets to the National Quartet Convention, Friday and Saturday night accommodations at the luxurious Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY and an exciting afternoon brunch with Canaan recording artist, The Hoppers. The winner will be selected on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 and notified by e-mail. As an added bonus, Canaan Records will send all registrants a brand new song from one of their upcoming August 12th releases.

Canaan recently released a brand new series of Podcasts, which is defined by Wikipedia.com as a digital-media file distributed over the internet for playback. The 5 minute, bi-weekly Podcasts can be downloaded to your computer or MP3 player, as well as being burned to a compact disc. The Mike LeFevre Quartet, Mike & Kelly Bowling and Kim Hopper are the first artists to be featured. Each speaks about their brand new Canaan releases and includes stories behind the songs. All twelve Podcasts are hosted by Les Butler of the Singing News Magazine and Solid Gospel Radio Network.
