Two writers for SGN give tribute to one of gospel music's most treasured and prolific songwriters. Dottie is home with the Lord but her legacy lives on in every heart and life that have been touched by her songs. ![]() Born and reared on a farm near Madison, N. C. the Hopper Brothers enjoyed a close relationship with their parents Mr. and Mrs. J A Hopper, their other 5 brothers and 3 sisters. They started singing as a quartet in l957, at first in their home church and for local revivals and family reunions ![]() God blessed us with amazing messages in songs and we tried to deliver them with as much passion and love for His Word as we could. Perhaps if there is an “it factor”, it could be that we possibly reached a younger generation and brought them in to love this great music. ![]() I wasn't sure who would play my music again and who wouldn't. So last year we sent a letter out to stations merely saying if they would like to receive the new Live project, simply let us know and I would send one to them. Some did, some didn't ![]() Dee Cooper & Friends Gospel Show is celebrating my twentieth year as host. It's been fun going back through old tape recordings, listening to great songs of yester-year, and listening to the many interviews I have had the privilege of doing over these great years.
