Zane King - Strings Attached

Produced by: Zane King
Label: Journey Music Ministries
Website: http://www.zaneking.com

Zane King is no stranger to this industry. He is well known and well respected for his producing, song writing, arranging and instrumental skills. Being President of Journey Records, as well as on the board of the SGMG, and many, many other things, it’s a wonder Zane found the time to make this record. I for one am glad he did. From the moment the first key is played you feel a sense of peace and joy flow out of your cd player and fill the room you’re sitting in. The great thing I’ve discovered about this album is that it’s great to sing along to. You will have an anointed band backing you up as you sing praises to the King.

This project has great continuity, something which I feel so often gets overlooked when putting the tracks in order. Strings Attached, also has a wide range of musical styles without losing focus. By the way, I just have to comment on the name of the record. “Strings Attached!” What a great title for an instrumental disc. Zane included some of the industry’s best players on this record. John Willis, Chip Davis, Jason Webb, Steve Brewster, Garry Lunn, Mark Hill and Randy Miller, all contribute to what makes this album a success.

Song choices, such as the CCM hit “Here I am to Worship,” are mixed in among SG favorites such as “I Surrender All, Power in the Blood and What a Friend We Have in Jesus” just to name a few. Zane even changes things up a little by singing the original tune, “It Will Be Heaven for Me.” I don’t really feel a need to go track by track here. I’m just going to strongly suggest that you purchase this project. I feel rather confident that no matter what kind of music you like, you will appreciate and enjoy this album.
