Have you ever had a friend that seemed to call you a hundred times a day? And as you answered the phone, before you could say hello, she would say “anyway as I was saying” and would continue on as though the former conversation never ended? Did you find yourself looking at the caller ID and thinking “I’m not answering this time”? Be honest! We all have done that a time or two! Sometimes I wonder if that’s the way God feels! I can only imagine how many “calls” He gets a day! I know that my “calls” alone would be enough to tie up His whole day! (lol)

So many times I have found myself picking up the direct line to my father and just saying it’s me again. Here I am with another problem that I can’t solve. And every time……He answers on the first ring. Isn’t that just like our loving Father? He loves us so much. And He cares about every detail of our life. My favorite chapter in the Bible is found in Psalm 139. The whole chapter talks about how much God loves us and how He knows everything about us. “O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord.” Wow! Sometimes I think that if my family knew me as well as God does, they might run away. Amen? But God doesn’t turn away. He lovingly draws us to Himself and whispers I love you.

Sometimes I think about when my daughters were little and they were just learning to walk. They would stand up and take off and before I knew it they would stumble and fall. That’s when the tears would start flowing and the screaming would start! That’s when mama would come running. I would scoop my daughter up in my arms and hold her real tight. I’d wipe away her tears and clean her scrapes. Then I would whisper in her ear “oh baby, it’s alright”!

Well sometimes we face difficult times in our lives and we may feel all battered and scraped by our circumstances. My friend, that’s when our loving God reaches down with His great big God arms and scoops us up and holds us tight. He wipes our tears away and cleans our wounds. That’s when He whispers so sweetly in our ear “oh my child, it’s alright.” What a comfort to know that when we talk to our Lord, everything is gonna be alright. He may not change our circumstance, but He will give us the strength and peace we need. Phil. 3:19 “My God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches, in Christ Jesus.” I hope as you face life’s challenges that you will look to our father for guidance and most of all……trust Him! Listen real close and you will hear Him say…… Oh my child. It’s alright! I love you!

It reminds me of the old song my mom used to sing, "It's Me Again Lord".

It's me again Lord, I've got a prayer that needs an answer
    It's me again Lord, I've got a problems that I can't solve
Now I don't mean to worry you, but here I am facing something new
And I need help that only comes from you.

    Good memories!!
    God bless
