I agree Bill, no more bluegrass than Rascall Flatts.

    To Bill and Betty:
In response to your comments...Austins Bridge's "He's In Control" was nominated for, and awarded the "Bluegrass Recorded Song" based on the merits of the overall feel of the song. The vocal stylings and harmonies are definitely bluegrass, AND the instrumentals speak for themselves - again, very traditional bluegrass...thus, the nomination and the award in that category. Betty: Yes, AB does OTHER songs that are definitely "Rascal Flatts-ish", but THIS song would be filed under "Buegrass".

Along with being a musician myself, I am a big fan of Austins Bridge, and also enjoy many genres of music from classical to contemporary, including bluegrass, as long as it's done "well". No "bad-grass" (bluegrass done badly) for me, please!

Congratulations to all of the winners in the Southern Gospel categories!
