Perrys Celebrate #1 Song

Hendersonville, Tenn.--- The Perrys recently celebrated their chart topping song “I Wish I Could Have Been There” with a number one party at Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) Studios in Hendersonville, TN. Industry leaders, family and friends filled the studio’s Bistro for this joyous occasion. “I Wish I Could Have Been There” was celebrated on the heels of the song receiving “Song of The Year” honors at the 2004 Harmony Honors, which were sponsored by the Southern Gospel Music Guild (SGMG).

The popularity of “I Wish I Could Have Been There” is especially sweet for The Perrys. Libbi shares, “When my dad became ill, he was put in ICU due to having 8 strokes, leaving him unable to communicate well. The last couple days of Dad’s life we placed a CD player at the head of his bed and played gospel music. On November 10, 2003 at 2:00pm, our CD was in playing, “I Wish I Could Have Been There.” In the middle of the song, my Dad drew his last breath and was gone. All I could think about at that moment was that even though he didn’t get to visit the Holy Lands and the sites of the miracles, he was now seeing Heaven. At that moment I was wishing I could have been there!”

The Perrys are currently touring in support of their current Daywind release, Life of Love. Their latest radio single “I Will Find You Again” is playing on radio stations worldwide.
