Johnny Minick’s Sweetest Song I Know Nominated for Two SGN Music Awards

SMYRNA, Tenn. – Johnny Minick, one of Southern Gospel’s most beloved voices, has recently been nominated for two SGN Music Awards.

The popular soloist has been nominated in the categories of Special Event Project of the Year and Best Album Cover for his solo project – Sweetest Song I Know: A Tribute to the Happy Goodmans.

“This project really showed off Johnny’s love for a group that he traveled with for so many years,” mentioned Deon Unthank of SouthernGospelNews.com. “This was easily one of the strongest projects of last year.”

The nominees for the SGN Music Awards were chosen by the staff of SouthernGospelNews.com, with the exception of Fan Favorite Artist of the Year in which the fans chose the 10 nominees in that category. Voting for the award winners began on February 8, 2006 and will continue through February 28, 2006.

Winners of the awards will be announced at the 2006 SGN Music Awards Celebration on April 25, 2006 in Smyrna, Tennessee. Performers, hosts, sponsors, and the venue for the awards celebration will be announced at a later date.
