On March 10, 2009, Ronnie Milsap will release his first Gospel Album, Then Sings My Soul. This release will feature 24 gospel songs that most everyone will be familiar with, though it will include three new releases.
It's easy to see why Milsap is so loved and recognized in Country Music as his track record speaks loud and clear: 40 # 1 hits, Over 25 million records sold, Seven Grammy Awards, Four Academy of Country Music Awards, and Eight Country Music Association Awards.
Recently, SGN was fortunate enough to be able to interview Milsap about this new release. "This is a part of my life I haven't had the opportunity to share with my fans. It is a chance for my fans to see this side of me. When you hear these songs you will know that I believe them," stated Milsap.
The interview that follows is in audio form, and we feel that you will want to "hear" this interview more than read it.

Nice interview, Deon. I've always enjoyed his music and Ronnie Milsap has always come across as a gracious and decent man. I appreciate him for taking a stand and expressing his faith not only in your interview but in this beautiful album that will fit in nicely with any country or southern gospel collection. Rhapsody has exclusive right to premiere the album and although they cannot sell the tracks before the March 10th release date, they can allow folks to preview the music, and best of all, Rhapsody subcribers like me can even stream the album. It is nicely done, and as he told you, the care and expression he gives each of these great hymns and spiritual songs shows his deep love for God and these great songs of the His church.

This interview brought back a lot of memories. Working for Ronnie for 14 years was a grand experience. I learned so much from him. I appreciate Deon including my name in the interview, and the nice comments Ronnie made about me. when I gave my notice to Ronnie that I was leaving his employment he thought I had lost my mind, but in fact, it was what God wanted me to do and I don't regret a second those decisions. Good luck Ronnie, and I am happy to see you finally recording the best music on Earth.

Enjoyed it.
Just for thought, next time an interview like this is arranged, maybe Deon can post a thread and allow his posters to submit potential questions for the interview. I know i could have come up with one or two for Mr. Milsaps. ![]()
High Fidelity,
Unfortunately, these types of interviews are limited in time and scope.
