Exalted Ministries Second Annual Homecoming

Talk about a fun filled evening, that's exactly what we had on May 19th. With the festivities starting early on Saturday morning, we left Friday night to make sure we didn't miss anything.

Starting at 10AM was the beginning of an all day talent search. There is some great young talent in Southern Gospel Music, and Exalted Ministries, teaming with Lamp Music Group were doing their best to find it. They had some really good artists to choose from. There were no surprises here, the judges did a wonderful job, and of course they had plenty of talent to choose from. The young lady who won the soloist category, Leresa Kimbrel, performed the CeCe Winans song "Alabaster Box". The group that won, Brother To Brother, sang a song composed by one of the members of the group.

It was a privilege for me to be asked to serve as MC for the evening. I got the microphone just after the talent contest winners had been announced, so things were already bubbling.

imageThe host group, Exalted, opened the program and they did a superb job of communicating with the audience. These guys are high energy all the way. They do a very entertaining program with some older songs combined with some newer numbers, and even threw in some very good original material, written by group members. Exalted is never too busy in their part of the program to minister to those in attendance, as was the case on this night. Exalted is developing quite a following and you will be hearing much more from these guys in the future.

image By the time I brought The Hoppers on stage, the crowd was on its feet and raring to go. As always The Hoppers were one class act. We were laughing one minute, and crying the next, and you knew all along that the LORD was moving in the hearts on lives of those attending. Claude Hopper has become one of the best in the business when it comes to giving a great narration, and the Patriotic narration that Claude performed left no dry eye in the house, and received a rousing standing ovation. Of course no Hoppers concert would be complete without hearing a couple of encores of "Shoutin' Time".

It was a great night of entertainment and ministry, so when the 3rd Annual Exalted Ministries Homecoming comes around, make sure that you have made plans to attend.
