Dave Wilcox Leaves Eddie Crook Co

Effective immediately, Dave Wilcox is no longer associated with the Eddie Crook Company. Scott Godsey and Cyndi Harp will continue with the company with their current roles being expanded. In the interim, Eddie Crook will remain as a company consultant and artist liason.

Any questions regarding current or future recordings should be directed to Scott Godsey.

We ask for your patience as we make this transition.

Sincerely,
Gary Gabbard, Keith Gabbard, Garnie Yeager

Hopefully this is just different goals and not the usual "left for ........." (fill in the blank with stock decent sounding excuse to cover the real story). SG has enough of that.

Eddie Crook sold the business a few years ago. He stayed on board as an advisor only since that time.

As far as the rest goes, it really isn't anyone's business why Dave left, or why the decision was made to make a change. Things happen sometimes that are by mutual agreement and sometimes people just get terminated. It is not necessary for anyone to have to reveal any more than a change has taken place. The rest is no one's business. I'll gaurantee you this, one side is happy and the other is not; or both sides are pleased with the decision.

In any event, I'll pray for Dave and for ECC that everything works out for the best for everone involved.

Sure it's my business.. they brought it up.. they sent out press releases.. they made it a news item on the front page of their website.. They just left out key factors of the story. If they wanted to keep the buy out of Wilcox's interest in the company private.. They should have left it out of the press completely.

Sounds like someone is acking for a breaking.

May we have a right to know and maybe we don't. I'm just wondering why we would want to add to someone else's woes???

    Tony..

Knowing the reason.. would not necessarily "add to someone's woes." It might clear up the rumor and speculation. So far, since there has been no complete news release.. I have heard quite a wild bunch of suspected reasons. I think that does more harm to all parties than just telling the truth.

In all reality.. it isn't that big of a deal.. and isn't a real big news story. If they never say anything else.. most people won't lose any sleep. It will just be one more "fluffing" of the news by the SG industry.
