Madi Taff, the 15 year old daughter of Russ Taff, was body surfing in waist deep water with her little sister on June 1 in Cherry Grove, S.C., when a small shark bit her foot. Taff thought she had been bitten by a large crab. Russ Taff who was reading on the beach quickly applied pressure and called for the life guards. The life guards recognized the bite as that of a shark, thought to be most likely a sand bar or black tip shark. Judging by the bite, doctors said the shark was about 5 feet long with a large mouth and razor teeth.
Eemergency room staff and locals said they had never seen a shark attack until this case as sharks are rarely seen off the South Carolina coast. Taff's stitches were removed on Sunday, and she is back home and doing fine.
According to reports the chances of being bitten by a shark in South Carolina are one in eleven million.

Thank God everything turned out fine. Russ and Tori are wonderful people.
He wanted some Taff-y
I'm glad she's ok, but that is hardly a shark ATTACK. Come on, these headlines are as bad as mainstream news. Come on Now.
So would it have been an attack only if the shark bit her leg off?

Did you watch the video and see what happened to her foot and leg? I wonder if you would think it was an attack if that happened to you.
Madi Taff DID suffer a shark attack. She had a number of stitches to close her wounds. If small shars were present then you better believe there is a Mama shark close by. You must realize that even small sharks have very sharp teeth, little razors. Thank God Madi is o.k.
