Crist Family Singers - Heaven Train

imageIndependent Label
The Crist Family Singers have a unique sound that I would call Gospel Swing. The first song, and title cut “Heaven Train” shows that style very effectively, yet it shows that they have great harmony also.

Covering the Talley song “Testify” is performed with a really neat track, Though it lacks a little of the drive that the song was covered from, it still is a very entertaining song and they show a good bit of originality in the delivery. “Holy Is The Lord” is a song that features the group’s member’s very talented children. “God’s Amazing Grace”, penned by group member Rich Crist, and “Rest In Me”, penned by group member Tami Crist Starkel shows that the talents of this fine group extend beyond merely singing.  “It’s Not What You Know” is a neat upbeat song that would be a good radio release for this group. Showing the groups diversity, their rendition of the Contemporary Christian song “Favorite Song Of All” is interpreted with strong feeling and emotion. Other songs include “There’s Not A Cry”, “Will You Love Jesus More”, and “Four Miracles”
