Beckie Simmons Becomes Grandmother, Todd and Melinda Hames Welcome Baby Boy

Todd and Melinda Hames, of the Beckie Simmons Agency, son and daughter-in-law of Beckie Simmons, celebrated the birth of their first child, a son Matthew Evan Hames, last Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 12:25am. Matthew Hames weighed 7 pounds 8¼ ounces and was 19¾ inches long.

Grandma Beckie Simmons said, “It’s hard not to look into the face of a beautiful child and not understand the love God has for his children. This is my first grandchild and I can’t even begin to express the excitement I have for all the memories my grandson and family are going to build together”. Todd and Melinda explained, “We went to the doctor for a routine visit Friday morning and at that visit she informed us that 'you are having a baby today'! It was definitely a full day and weekend, but we noticed nothing was more amazing than to look into the face our new born child and realize something so small and fragile had more meaning and worth than anything in this world.”

    Congratulations to Todd and Melinda.
They deserve the beautiful baby they now have. Also to the grandparents Beckie and Glen. I know you will have many great times watching Matthew grow up and become a great man.
