NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Anthony Facello & Crossroad are excited to announce a significant change in their ministry. After much prayer and council from management, industry leaders, and friends, Anthony Facello & Crossroad has decided to change their name – now to be known as Beyond the Ashes.
Anthony Facello said in regards to the name change, "The name change reflects our desire to tell more of what we are about rather than who we are. We want the focus to be on the true message of our ministry. God brings amazing victories out of the ashes of our lives. It is exciting to see what He can do Beyond the Ashes."
Beyond the Ashes will be promoting the name change heavily – including giveaways of things such as an iPod, music packages, and more through the group’s MySpace page, as well as their webpage, which will be modified to reflect the group’s name change over the next couple of days.
“I really covet your prayers as we are in the midst of some really exciting times for the group right now,” mentioned Facello. “I know you, our fans, are standing alongside of us, and I appreciate that very much.”
For now, more information on Beyond the Ashes can be found at the group’s MySpace – http://www.myspace.com/lifescrossroad.
The up and coming group was recently in the studio recording vocals for their highly anticipated debut mainline release. Vocals for the as-of-yet untitled release were recorded at Kilowatt Studios in Mufreesboro, Tennessee and Sunset Blvd. Studios in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Sharing producing duties on the new recording are Dove Award-winning producers Wayne Haun (The Perrys, Greater Vision) and Kevin Ward (LordSong, Hope’s Call) as well as Donna Beauvais (Mercy’s Well, The Browders) and Anthony Facello.
Beyond the Ashes’ new album is due out later this year. The group will be releasing singles to both AC/INSP and Southern Gospel radio to coincide with the release of the album.

About Beyond the Ashes
Beyond the Ashes (formerly Anthony Facello & Crossroad) was formed in June 2007 by acclaimed vocalist Anthony Facello. For the past 15 years, Anthony has had the wonderful privilege and opportunity to sing with such remarkably talented groups within the gospel music industry, including Heavenbound, the Down East Boys, Journeymen and most recently the award winning Mercy’s Mark. While turning the page of this new chapter in his life, Anthony has put together a new group that is certainly going to take the gospel music world by surprise. Each young man in the group brings an exuberant love, respect and admiration for gospel music.

Nobody cared as Crossroads-I doubt they will care beyond the ashes. I am not being rude. So, many groups like them come on the scene try to look rock and just go away!
I have met and worked with this very fine group. In fact, I am hosting them in April. I don't think they look rock, I think they look like everyday people.
I think Dale is just a bitter old man, still upset over the fact that SG has progressed past the 1940's era. With any luck he will soon "just go away" leaving the rest of the 21st century to our new-fangled modern ways such as sliced bread.
I think it would be nice to stick to the topic rather than making personal attacks against someone who has just stated his opinion. Just state your own opinion and let others judge for themselves, OK?
I'm still watching the schedule closely to see when this group - no matter what it's called - is close enough for me to see!

I agree to stick to the topic at hand. However, when someone as dense as Dale makes such a stupid remark, you just have to call him out on it. It's a group like this that will appeal to a demographic that isn't going to be dead in 10 years. This business better welcome young artists like this to secure a future for itself. I don't know these guys and I haven't heard them. For all I know, they're not good. A group or artist can't rely on youth or image for me to get on board. They've got to be good. The fact that they're changing their name for the reasons they mentioned shows me that they're into looking beyond the tired, thoughtless acts of picking a good old fashioned gospel group name such as "The Whatever Boys" and buying matching cheap suits and preserving the "old time way." I don't knock the past. But we have museums for that kind of thing. So, I urge Dale to crawl back under his rock and keep his old timey albums and his geriatric opinions to himself.
Love what Dcooper wrote...and I just wanted to add in my two pennies for what its worth...First of all I am a major major southern gospel music fan, and have supported it and listened to it for years and will continue to do so...but I also love other types of music. I love music that is anointed, heart-felt and lyrics and lives that show what our great God is all about. I have worked amongst the greatest in the Christian music industry, and am so humbly blessed and proud of my accomplishments....I say all of that to say, in knowing Anthony and BEYOND THE ASHES...here is a dynamic group that will truly appeal to all kinds of music lovers, southern gospel to CCM...and inspirational. Anthony is truly one of the most talented and anointed singers to grace our stages and churches in years. I have nothing to gain by saying any of that...except I have watched him grow and mature the last several years, and continually am so blessed by his "heart's cry" to share the powerful message of grace, mercy, forgiveness, the cross and dying to self...and then picking yourself up and sharing with others what the great commission is all about. Anthony and BEYOND THE ASHES will be around for a long time. Lives will be touched...hearts will be changed...and God will get the glory through the powerful gift of music...Appreciate all of you and your prayers and support to these guys who really are in it for the right reasons.
I disagree with Dale in his resistance to change to reach people who won't be dead in 10 years.
BariLead, did you read the reason for the choice of that name? Thanks about it. So many groups choose names based on how it will look on the CD cover or the monthly charts. You must admit, there are a ton of thoughtless group names out there. Take away the family names. Take away all of the groups that have "Boys" at the end. They're not boys, they're grown men. How does that sound like thought went into those name choices? You're not left with much. Artists like Everyday Driven, Greater Vision, Beyond The Ashes, etc. seems like they actually want their name to show what they're all about. It gives you an idea of their specific ministry goals and I think it's very refreshing. I know this is relative to a degree. The one thing that remains is that Dale still looks like a fool.
.....or...THINK about it.
