All I can say is WOW. This book should have been written 20 years ago.
There are two groups of people who need to read this book, those who have been pursuing to advance their ministry for less than five years and those who have been pursuing to advance their ministry for more than five years. In other words, everybody in the Southern Gospel Music industry should read this book.
The Gospel Music Truth is a wealth of information that is written in laymen's terms so that everyone, from the beginning stages of starting a group or solo ministry to moving into the professional ranks can benefit from the knowledge shared by Nick Bruno.
Nick deals with such hot topics as "ministry verses entertainment" to "dealing with Pastors and promoters" to "recording projects". He even walks you through the Nashville Numbering System. Nick also gives some very sound advice on operating the finances of your group or ministry. A very interesting part of the book is where Nick introduces himself to you in the form of a mini-biography.
The book sells for $14.99, but it is a small investment to make to help you avert some mistakes that could cost you thousands of dollars later. I highly recommend The Gospel Music Truth, not only is the advice great, but it's written by a man who has played piano for some of the biggest groups in Southern Gospel music.

I read this approx. 6 months ago and it is really enlightening. There have been comments about this being a great book for a new artist. My dad has been singing SG for 36 years and there are things in this book that he had never thought of.
What a great book. Nick has layed out a plan that all could understand. My family had the privilege to have Nick Bruno produce our last project, and advice from Nick is truly good as gold.
