We received word this morning that Dottie Rambo was killed last night in a tour bus accident. Dottie was scheduled to appear at North Richland Hills, Texas at the Fountain Of Life Church at 10:30 AM with her dear friends Lulu Roman and Naomi Sego this morning, so we are assuming she was on route to Texas when the accident occurred.
We will post more info whrn it is received. Please be in prayer for the family at this time.

Dottie Rambo touched so many lives - including mine. My prayers go out to Dottie's family, Larry and his family, and to everyone who is mourning for Dottie right now. But, as much as it hurts to lose her - can you just imagine the party that she is having with Jesus about now? I can see her sitting on His lap singing to him. What a celebration there was in heaven when Dottie Rambo came to perform...!
Dottie Rambo is one of the most beautiful people I've ever come in contact with. I received a call a few hours ago relaying this message and my heart is broken, but also I'm happy to say she is now with her heavenly father that she has faithfully served for so many years. I had the honor of sharing the stage w/ dottie last year with my group and it was the highlight of my career. She will forever be my hero.
We love you Dottie! And we'll be praying for the family and Larry.

Dear Friends,
We mourn the loss of this great treasure. We will all hold close the fond memories we all shared with Dottie both personally and through her wonderful music. Heaven is a brighter place today.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Rambo family, as well as all the families with loved ones involved in this tragedy.
What a hole she leaves in the SGM community. My prayers are with the families involved in this tragedy. I am so glad that I did get to see her once in person. That makes that time even more special. May God heal the injured & comfort them at this time.
God is good all the time & all the time God is good.

Info on Dottie...
Dottie Rambo, was the very best of the best in songwriters. I have sung many of her songs over the years. I have always said to everybody that she was my favorite songwriter. When I worked with the Stamps Quartet, back in the 1970's, The Rambos, Oak Ridge Boys and the Stamps Quartet traveled together doing concerts and presenting the drama "The Three Nails". Prior to that time, I had known the Rambos from the northern Kentucky, and Southern Indiana
area. Dottie had the most unique voice there has ever been in gospel music. It was great. My wife and I will sorely miss the great talent of this wonderful Lady of God. May God be with Reba and the family. We offer our prayers and condolences to the entire family.

Dottie is one lady that will be deeply missed! She was so beautiful from the inside out and quite a talented songwriter at best. What a legacy she is leaving to the SG industry and to the world! Her family will be in my prayers.
Amazed in His presence and humbled by His great love!

I was at Dotties concert in Granite City, lllinois last night. She was stronger in body and voice than she's been in for a long while. It was a very very wonderful concert. Christopher Ferguson also sang "Down by the River" with Miss Dottie. He's the young son of Dottie's manager, Larry and his wife. It was great. The weather was very bad most of the way back home to Springfield, Illinois.
Prayers to the family... Praises to God for the lyrics of Dottie's life that will go on....

Dottie was a great friend and I'll never forget the 2 hour interview she gave me for my 13 hour Elvis documentary. I was also very close to Larry. If anyone knows what hospital he is in, please e-mail me off line. Thanks

I am brokenhearted to hear of Dottie's going home to be with the Lord. She has been such an inspiration to me when I was a small child till now at the age of 49. She will be sorely missed in the southern gospel world. But what she left behind for us in her music is forevermore! Heaven is so much sweeter now with her presence. I will be praying for Reba and her family.
I knew the Rambo's well when I traveled as a teen with the Oak Ridge Boys.Dottie was a sweet heart.I loved her as I love Buck and Reba.I will miss her til we meet again
My heart is broken...but my soul rejoices! Dottie was my musical lifeline to Christ. Her songs have given me the strength to go on, to enjoy the blessings of God, and know that my Redeemer lives. As much as I and others loved her, HE loved her more. Goodbye Dottie...I never got to sing with you here, but just wait, we're gonna teach the angels how to sing. Bless you Reba and all of the family who remain. Please take comfort in the knowledge of love that we all had for our precious angel who NOW has truly earned her wings!
DOTTIE HAS BEEN A BLESSING IN MY LIFE I WILL TRUELY MISS HER.
There is a voice missing here on earth as Heaven welcomes a friend of God who truly was the best at singing, playing, writing and inspiring so many! I look forward to hearing that song again in a more perfect way and for that I will press on "Until He Comes". Enjoy your day with the Lord, Dottie Rambo!
I was in total shock this morning when I heard on the radio of the death of Dottie Rambo. My prayers go out to her family and the families of those involved in the bus crash. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out. I always felt that she was doing just what GOD had anointed her to do. She will surely be missed...my heart is saddened by the loss.
Because of Dottie's close walk with the Lord God used her talents to Bless millions of people worldwide through her songs. She is resting in the arms of Jesus until that Glorious day when She shall behold Him. Yes, She shall behold Him, face to face in all of His glory.

I loved Dotties Music- I got to meet her get her autograph and get a picture with her. I will always miss you.
I will never forget my first appointment in the ministry. A family in the New Chapel UMC, in Springfield, TN, was kin to Dottie and they got her to bring her band and family to come and perform for us. Dottie was so lovely and wonderful and also her people with her. I will never forget her holding my hand, and praying for me to continue to preach the word of God.
