Fashionably Late

Well once again we are fashionably late with our article. By the time we get this written it will time to do another one. The reason that we do this is because we know that Deon and his staff really don't have enough to do as it is. It is part of our mission and ministry to keep Deon busy trying to track us down! Ha Ha!

If you have been keeping up with our schedule you know that keeping up with The King's Heralds can be a challenge. Many times our own families have a hard time keeping up with us! We have spent the last three weeks in Florida. It sure feels good down there this time of year and also they have some good gospel concerts going on there as well. Our trip to Florida started out in Rome, Ga. at the city auditorium where we sang with our friends The Inspirations. It was sure good to see Martin Cook and all the boys. They never sounded better. A special thanks to all the fine folks who bought tickets and made that concert a success. From there we headed south to enjoy some Florida sunshine. One highlight of our trip was when we sang in Avon Park, Fl. Our former bass singer's mother lives there and it has been a long standing tradition with the group that when the quartet was in town she would fix supper for the boys. She did not disappoint us in the least. She fixed a tasty meal and w e were blessed with good food and fellowship. While on that trip it was good to see our good friends George and Lois Wilson. We sang at their home church New Fellowship Baptist and had the time of our lives. Thank you to that wonderful church for being so gracious to the Kings' Heralds. We love you! Also on that trip it was good to see Bob and Anita Vandegrift. They have been special friends for quite some time and we love them very much. Also Dick and Jane Truitt from Ohio were there and it was good reconnect with as well our DJ buddy Dee Cooper.

Next month we head out to the Pacific Northwest and California. We gotta keep the old wheels rollin. Please check our schedule at http://www.theheralds.org and come see us when we are in your area. We have some exciting things uo ahead that we will be sharing a bit later. Until then we'll see ya down the road.
