Deon’s Radio Picks 09/01/03

* Karen Peck and New River - "That’s Why They Call It Grace"

This is a typical Karen Peck feature on a very strong ballad. The message of the song is full of encouragement and Karen’s delivery is superb. The track is a beautiful full orchestration that builds in all the right spots. Spring Hill Southern Compilation - Volume # 4 2003 - cut # 1

* Gaither Vocal Band - "Everything Good"

This medium tempo song features Guy Penrod doing what he does so very well. With a laid back modern country sound, this cut will fit just about any time of the day you want to play it. Your listeners will enjoy the close harmony by these guys. Gaither Radio Series - Volume # Two - cut # 1

* Needhams - "Walkin’ On The Water"

Here is my "Sleeper of the week". This fine family group doesn’t seem to get much radio airplay, but they should. Give a listen to this cut for some really clean harmony. They sing this song with a lot of excitement and I believe that your listeners will pick up on it. This one would be a great drive time - rush hour cut... Capitol Music Café - Compilation # 52 - cut # 1

* Florida Boys - "It’s Still True"

Here’s the Florida Boys at their best. Penned by Daryl Williams and Paul Lancaster, this up beat song will have your listeners tapping their feet. I’m sure you’ll be getting request for this one. This song should see some chart action. Homeland Radio Hits - Volume # 38 - cut # 11

    The Florida Boys, "It's Still True" is one of their greatest songs! My pastor stated, "It's the story of the gospel as sung in 4 part harmony in two and a half minutes." AMEN!
