Acclaimed Vocalist Jason Crabb Signs His First Solo Recording
BRENTWOOD, TN (2-14-08) - Multi-award-winning vocalist Jason Crabb has signed his first solo recording deal with Spring Hill Music Group, Inc. The multi-CD deal was announced today by Barry Jennings, president of both Spring Hill Music Group and Gaither Music Group.
Until recently, Jason Crabb, the elder Crabb son, had fronted his family's award-winning group, The Crabb Family. His soulful, distinctive vocal ability garnered universal critical acclaim, as well as numerous industry awards and legions of fans. He was voted Favorite Male Vocalist at the first annual Harmony Honors Awards and Favorite Young Artist at the 2000 Singing News Fan Awards. In 2004, the Beaver Dam, KY, native was voted Gospel Music Male Vocalist of the Year; and The Crabb Family merited ten GMA Dove Awards, several Grammy Award nominations and 16 #1 singles before disbanding to follow separate career paths in 2007.
"To find a unique, dynamic voice and a great spirit combined into one young artist is a rare find for any music label, so naturally everyone at Spring Hill Music Group is extremely excited to be working with Jason Crabb," Jennings remarked. "He has a voice the world needs to hear, and it is an honor to be the label home for his first-ever solo project. As we anticipate Jason's debut recording, we are excited to find ways to match his rare talent with music that genuinely expresses his heart and captures the hearts of listeners."
Jason will enter the studio in the coming months with his first solo CD slated for a fall release. The release will be distributed by EMI CMG Distribution.
