The McRaes Return

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.—The McRaes are pleased to announce their anticipated return to the stage. Annie McRae and Amanda Till will bring back the two-part harmony McRae fans love on such songs as “If It Had Not Been The Lord,” “There Is A Remedy” and “Word of the Lord.” Annie will also continue honing her renowned songwriting. Annie and Amanda most recently traveled with Troy and Katy Peach as TK & McRae. Annie and Amanda, as well as Troy and Katy decided to separate from TK & McRae mutually in order to pursue their own interests. Troy and Katy will travel together for select dates, but want to spend more time at home in order to raise their twin boys. The McRaes will continue to be booked by the Beckie Simmons Agency (615-595-7500) and will fulfill dates already booked.

Annie McRae hails from Waynesboro, MS and over the past six years has become one of the leading vocalists and songwriters in Southern Gospel music. Her very first #1 song, "If It Had Not Been the Lord" and the #1 song of the year for 2005, "There Is a Remedy" features both Annie’s lead vocal and songwriting. Her songwriting is quickly reaching other groups within the genre and will continue to be a focus. Annie has appeared on numerous major concerts and television shows, including TBN’s “Praise The Lord,” the Dove Awards, Gospel Music Association’s Estes Park and the Gaither Homecoming Series.

Amanda Till is 21 years old and recently moved to Nashville from Montgomery, AL. She was saved at a young age and grew up singing in hometown churches, at revivals and special events. Amanda is a two year graduate of the Steve Hurst School of Music. Her love of Southern Gospel music is apparent in her entire family. Amanda’s father was a local concert promoter in Alabama. Her smile and heart for ministry shines through everywhere she goes! Amanda recently married popular singer and guitarist Zach Smith, who travels with Crabb Revival.

Since their beginnings only eight years ago, the McRaes have experienced many career highlights. In 2004 the group claimed their first number one song on the national radio charts, "If It Had Not Been The Lord" and in 2005 they celebrated Song of the Year with "There Is A Remedy." They have been seen during Mark Lowry's Senior Trip, the CrabbJam Tour, featured during Gospel Music Week, on Gospel Music Television, at the Gospel Music Association's Estes Park, presenting during the 2006 Dove Awards, performing on TBN’s “Praise The Lord” program and on the Gaither Homecoming Video Series. The McRaes opened for Mark Lowry's 2000 tour and were featured on his On Broadway video project alongside the Gaither Vocal Band and Sandy Patti. As their ministry expands to hit the national scene, their goal remains one of sharing the Gospel and encouraging fellow Christians.

Annie McRae is one of the best female singers and songwriters in gospel music. She doesn't need anyone else do that either. She is a WONDERFUL artist and I know that the Lord will carry her far! As for TK&McRae;they are a wonderful group and it is sad.
