What a shock, and a tragic loss. I knew Trenton. When I sang with Eastern Sky we were on the same record label as 3 for 1 and worked with them on several occasions. This is such a horrible loss of a young life and tremendous talent. I will keep the family and friends in prayer.

The family and friends of Trenton Wood would like to express our deepest gratitude for all of your thoughts and prayers during this tragic loss. Trenton was very dear to all of us and brought much joy to the many lives that he touched. Trenton was a dear son,son in law, nephew, cousin and grandson as well as a devoted husband to Brooke. Ultimately, he was a wonderful daddy to his precious son, Hunter. Trenton loved the Lord and tried to minister to each of those he came in contact with. Please continue to remember the family in your prayers. We trust that God will sustain each of us and we will continue to rely on Him during this tragic time.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and other friends. Trenton was a good guy. Had many oppertunities over the years to hang out with him and work with him. All that goes through my head at this point was when I was about 16, and Trenton was around 13 or 14 at this point. My family's group and Trenton played the Dixie Melody Boys homecoming, and both of us were a pretty big hit. He came to me and basically said "Hey, we're doing pretty well here, but don't ever think that it's us doing something special. You know who deserves that credit" That echoes through my head right now, and it's a good thing to remember for all of you in groups. Again Trenton was a good guy, and I'm shocked and saddened to hear this.

My heart is so saddened by this news. Trenton was a wonderful young man. The group sang for me many times during my time at WTSF TV in Ashland, KY. We always looked forward to having them there because Trenton was so full of love and joy his excitement just filled everyone present.

I pray that God will comfort his family and give them peace during this very difficult time.

I just read the tragic news of Trenton Wood today 10/24/07. I am 67 years old and I first heard him sing on Laverne Tripp on TBN when he was about 12 or 13. I have always loved his singing and his testimony. My mother and my sister who watched him back then loved him also, they both are with Jesus now along with Trenton. God Bless the family
