Talley Trio - Apr 05

Hi everyone!

Turn up the air conditioning and make your vacation plans; it's spring at last, and the Talleys have lots of exciting things happening......

We'd like to invite all of you to snap up the few remaining tickets for Singing In The Sun! One of gospel music's biggest annual events, Singing In The Sun brings 5-6 artists each night to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, April 20-23 for four spectacular nights of music and preaching. Held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, you'll enjoy special daytime events plus great concerts each evening, with a special message brought by a guest speaker. Your cohosts, The Talley Trio, will be singing Friday night. Many of gospel music's top talent will be performing, including the Greenes, the Hoppers, Tony Gore, Ivan Parker, Anthony Burger, the Perrys, and many more. A few tickets are still left, so don't wait, or you'll miss all the fun. See you at the beach.

My third solo project, I Live, is finally completed, (hallelujah) and is being processed, pasteurized, shrink-wrapped, and anything else they have to do before it gets to you. This project is a little different from my other two solo projects musically, but I'm very excited about the great songs that I feel God led me to during this recording. These songs have touched my heart especially, and I hope you feel the same after you hear them. The CDs land on our product table and arrive in stores in May. Of course, you'll find it on http://www.talleytrio.com.

Speaking of new releases, we have just completed production on two new DVDs by the Talley Trio. Live Across America shows concert footage from different locations around the country, plus a behind-the-scenes look at what life is like for a gospel group on the road. Also, DVD Praise For the Ages captures a live worship experience with the Talley Trio, featuring songs from our Praise For the Ages recording. We talked Ivan Parker into joining us on a song on this video. At least Ivan was invited. Watch for a couple of pranksters named Michael Booth and Mark Trammell, who somehow sneaked onto our videos!

Also, mark your calendar for the Talley Trio's Smoky Mountain Homecoming July 22-23, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The weekend will feature music by your hosts, The Talley Trio, The Booth Brothers, the Mercy's Mark Quartet, and piano maestro Anthony Burger, plus talent contests on Saturday morning. You can order your tickets while we still have them at 423-235-2916 or on http://www.talleytrio.com.

Special thanks to everyone at Woodlands United Methodist Church of Woodlands, Texas, where we spent a frigid but enjoyable Easter Sunday. Also thanks to Jan and Judy for putting up with us.

Ok, I know this has nothing to do with anything music-related, but our Tennessee Lady Vols are headed to the Final Four!! Aren't you excited?!

Sorry, I just had to let that out. Until next time-

Lauren Talley

Yo' Lauren Talley! Waz up? I know you're all grown up now, but I sure do miss the way you used to end your letters by signing off with "Much love" - probably cause that's how I used to end mine when I was a kid. I know, things change.
But one thing that doesn't change, folks, is the joy of a new Talley recording. Whether it's Lauren singing solo or the family harmonizing together, on the record it's some of my all time favorite singing on "the record."
    We love you guys!

    Hello Lauren

This is my first time e-mailing you. I enjoy your music so much. Do you have a list of soundtracks that are available with backup vocals. You songs seem to be in my range and I would enjoy trying to sing them for special music at church. Thank you so much
