Those 20 are definately a good summery of the top groups of 2003. Can't say I quite agree w/ them, but that's alright
You go Lucille! lol
And you too ETHEL! LOVE YOU!
I think this year the best year in a while for some really good SG recordings. The past few years in my opinion have been "off years" for some groups but these recordings show the world how great Good Ole Southern Gospel can be !!
Brian Free and Assurance are 10 and 16 -- same album. Hmmmm
That is interesting. Also the Carolina Boys had two songs from one album listed in the top ten, but the album didn't make top twenty.
Looks like SGN's beginning to have the same consistancy issues that Singing News has.
T-bone, two top ten songs on one album does not make it an automatic top twenty album. There is no problem with consistancy. We judged the album as a whole not just a couple of songs. If you did your homework you would find that the album you are refering to was produced in 2002 and not elible to be considered for 2003 pics.
With Brian Free and Assurance being listed twice... oops, mistakes do happen.

T-bone,
The Carolina Boys CD was released in 2002, that makes it ineligible for a Top 20 CD release in 2003. However, songs from that CD WERE released to radio in 2003 and those SONGS are eligible for Top SONGS for 2003. There is no consistency problem.
As to the Brian Free mistake, mistake is all it is. And it is mine if you would like to lay blame as I did not catch it before the list was issued.
However, wer are more likely to answser honest questions when they are posed in a polite and respecful manner. If you have a question about our COMMENTS POLICY just click on the link above the text input box for comments.

Where's Legacy Five on this list? Their London CD was my personal fav of the year, and easily as good as or better than some of the discs shown on this Top 20 List . . .
