Christmas 2009

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2009, TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF SOGOSPELNEWS, I LOVE YOU ALL.

I have had something on my mind for such a long time and I have pushed it off to the side for several months now but I just cannot get away for it so here I am the last note for 2009.
What Child is this, Joy to the World, It came upon a midnight clear…. O’ Holy Night…then we have Jingle Bells, Rock’ in around the Christmas tree… and 100’s more, I absolutely love Christmas time, oh let us not forget “Mary did you know”. Christmas is a time for us to remember what an awesome God we do serve. That he would give us his ONLY Son on such a special day that we celebrate as Christmas. We all know that the days are off here or there but we as America has set this day aside to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. Christmas has become very materialized over the years and America has almost forgotten why and where this day came from. Let us not be guilty of forgetting the Reason for this Wonderful Season.

Over this last year I have watched and wondered where we are going and what are we trying to do as ministers of the Gospel of Christ. We are to be held to a higher standard according to the book of Timothy ch: 3 and God will hold us accountable for what we do under the name of the Lord. God gave his all for us, and we think that we can live like a devil behind closed doors and get out and sing, preach or work in any capacity and proclaim to be a servant of God Almighty !! Why do we think it is okay? No, there is not one of us serving God that is perfect, however we are to try to walk as close to that as we can. Yes, we fall, and make mistakes and are tempted to do wrong everyday, but we have to remember that God has given you a way of escape if you want it. The world says do what you want, it’s okay to be gay, and it’s okay to have relationships outside your marriage, its okay to go get drunk when you’ve had a bad day Its okay just do what you want.. NO ! NO ! NO ! and a thousand times NO. Folks it is not okay. In Ezekiel chp; 16, 17 and 18, it is talking about the unfaithfulness of Jerusalem. Letting the neighboring cities/countries come in and corrupt your salvation. Getting to close to what the world says is okay vs. what God says is okay… this is where we run into trouble. I am far from exempt on this one, I’m not better than anyone else... I fight the same devil you fight. I have fallen more times than I’d like to remember but, we get up and brush off the dust and start walking again. Ezekiel, God is asking us to repent for our unfaithfulness come back to our first love. In John chp; 8, Jesus told the crowd, you have no sin cast the first stone... no one could do so, and I’m not doing that either, but HE (Jesus) told the woman Go and Stop Sinning… this is all Jesus wants us to do… turn from our wickedness and sins and repent and stop doing the things that are displeasing to Him, the one that Loves us so much that he gave us CHRISTMAS….

God Loves Everyone of us and wants us to celebrate His Birth with all that is within us... Go and shout to the world the Goodness of our Savior for JESUS is Greatly to be Praised.
“FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN WHICH IS CHRIST THE LORD”

I wish you a very blessed Christmas; looking forward to a wonderful and blessed new year, what about you?
