Is this the same Jimmy & Dorothy Jones from Gainesville, Texas that used to have a weekly show on Daystar network?

Does the change mean that it will no longer be all Southern Gospel?????I would hate to see that kind of change take place....

GMT has been steadily moving from SG for awhile now, Dwayne. 1 A Chord has been featured quite prominently as of late, and I guess now I see why. The current format is being skewed towards Country Gospel, and I suspect it will become substantially moreso now. It's not my cup of tea, but perhaps they have another fan base more supportive than the SG fan base apparently was with the old GMT. Who knows. One things for sure, they will definitely need to crank up the production quality a few notches. With a few exceptions, most of the groups sound like a few folks strumming guitars and having a family sing-a-long. That's fine for family reunions and such, but when you get into the commercial music realm, you need to have at least *some* polish and professionalism.

This is the same Jimmy and Dorothy Jones that were on Daystar with Texas Country Gospel. I talked to them in early January. They told me of the purchase and some great plans. They told me that they intend to have Southern Gospel groups and also Country Gospel groups on the shows. They have some great, grand plans. I pray that they will be able to produce as they desire. These two are very devoted Christians.

GMT has always been available through satellite and not cable. Dorothy Jones is working hard to get cable companies to offer GMT. That should help with the fan base if she is successful.
