Chris Hester is a fine young artist with definite country flair in his voice. The song selection is great. Every song seems to have been written to fit Chris' voice.

The CD opens with "Come Home", a song of invitation. The acoustic tracks let the message of the words come through real strong. "Too Far Down To Call" is a slower paced song that has a nice message and would come across on radio very well. I like the steel and fiddles on this track. Another nice radio cut would be "It's A Good Life". This song is up-tempo and sort of has you singing along with it. You can hear the Hinson influence as Chris pours his heart into the Ronnie Hinson song, "This Joy Is Mine".

There are two Ben Scroggs songs on this CD. They are both strong ballads.
Chris really shines on "Yes I Can" and "Down On My Knees". I can't tell which one I like best. Ben wrote two great songs, and Chris interprets them both with excellence.

Other songs include "One On One", "What Can I Do For Him?", "Love Is", and "Give A Little Back".
