Such a time…..

A few months back we started singing the song “Such A Time As This” written by Jeff Steele and Cindi Ballard. What an awesome message in this song. It never fails when we sing this song that we see many tears in the audience. One thing I have noticed in our concerts is that there are so many hurting souls out there. This song always seems to reach out to people. People are hungry for the moving of the Holy Spirit and to feel that they have had their needs met by the ministry. As a group, and individually our primary focus with any concert is ministry. To us it doesn’t matter if a set gets finished, as long as a soul finds salvation, a heart gets mended or a wounded spirit is lifted. God is so good to “show up” when we ask Him to! I have mentioned so many times prior to singing this song that the message in this song also ministers to us every time we sing it. In our travels it is so evident that our concerts are filled with people that need to feel that God is near. It’s so hard to understand why we face the difficulties, the sadness, and the frustrations we do on this earth. For myself I faced such sadness in December with the loss of a beautiful daughter in law. Many times I asked myself why I had to walk through this valley, why was I forced to my knees. But, I have clung to the scripture of Romans 8:28, “For all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose.” If there’s anything I know for sure it is that I was called according to His purpose! I know that every time we sing, regardless of the pain, frustrations and hurt we may have experienced that God is preparing us to minister to someone down the road that is experiencing the same hurts, frustrations and pain that we have endured and come through victorious. The world needs to see victorious Christians and know the reason why we have that victory. Our desire is to be able to stand with someone and tell them to have faith and confidence to get through life. At the end of each concert event our thoughts are not, did I hit each note perfect, did they like my outfit, but most importantly, was their spirit fed, did they feel like they touched heaven, did the spirit stir their soul? When God shows up and needs are met, then we fully believe that “God prepared us, for such a time as this.” Until next time, keep your eyes to the skies, He’s coming again!!
